In Februarythe band embarked on their biggest headline tour to date, covering 24 UK venues in a month, including two sold-out shows at Brixton Academya venue they frequently visited when growing up.

All through the album there are some delightful moments, from the twisty, handclap driven pop sound of first single 'Wait' to their trademark folk-pop breeze on 'Lost In The Woods'. This has now been reduced to a 4-piece following Marten's departure, with Gale's guitar playing now being more prominent and more richly contributing to the live sound.
Better still, though, is the sharp Everything All At Once, which brings back some urgency to the album with some slick guitar, pounding drums and real drive. A planned tour of the United States following this success, opening for the Stereophonics and Matthew Jay, was eventually scuttled by the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Overall, the album was re-released four times during its lifespan,  and received various bonus discs between regions and versions. During the Summer of the band played various summer festivals. Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian were friends in elementary school and decided to try out for the cathedral choir because it would give them the chance to perform in front of the Queen of England, which they eventually did.

The night carried an extra special feel to it than other dates because of course, this is the boys stomping ground so a homecoming welcome was provided by the crowd when the lads, with acoustic guitars in hand, emerged to a roaring response from the sold out venue at 9pm sharp.

Athlete's sophomore effort, Tourist, was an even bigger success. Displaying similarities to Coldplay 's reflective songwriting, the album rose to the top of the U.K. albums chart upon its release inwith "Wires" peaking at number four and the follow-up single, "Half Light," reaching number Invisible Storm by Turin Brakes appeared on 1 chart for 1 week, peaked at #37 in United Kingdom.
